Azariah Smith
In returning home from his service in the Mormon Battalion, Azariah worked for a time at Sutter's Mill. He was there when gold was discovered. This image dates from the 50th anniversary celebration of that discovery. Azariah was hosted by the State of California in recognition of the event.
